In all, I vetted 5 professional roofers over the course of several months.... read more Macaw was not the cheapest. Nor did they have the longest history for roof repair or replacement. What they are is very honest, caring, hard-working, responsive, professional, skilled, fair and reliable. It all started when a Realtor referred me to Brenda Quintero & Douglas Alvarenga, the owners, back in February. After meeting with both, I was impressed. But wanted references, all of which came back as reliable and favorable. I chose Brenda and Douglas for their character, expertise and feeling that they will be there in the future if and when I need them. Douglas knew the previous problems I had had with my roof and went out of his way to do his best to make sure that I would be able to rest easily after the job was finished. And Brenda, she is nothing shy of amazing. No request was too small if it was important to me. And her attention to detail was impressive. I could always count on both to do what they said they were going to do. I view Brenda and Douglas as long-term friends and professionals who love what they do, are good at it and want you to be happy. What could be more important.

No high pressure sales pitches, but extremely professional, knowledgeable and available. So easy to work with. The cost for my project was extremely fair. Siding, gutters and windows, some replaced and others remodeled. My house looks amazing. I have received so many compliments whenever I am outside, from people I don't even know. Macaw is family owned and run. They work extremely hard and well together. Clean up was great also. No nails or debris left behind. I would do this over in a heartbeat with them! One word of advice, before you hire any contractor, call Macaw Construction. You will be thankful you did!

We purchased our home in September of '22 and quickly found a structural issue with a loadbearing stud and window that wasn't able to be discovered during the inspection. My... read more wife and I contacted Macaw and they provided a fast, reasonable quote. We hired their services with Brenda and work began shortly afterward. Right before the work began, their crew came down with the flu and were unable to start on time and Brenda was very communicative throughout the process. The project was rescheduled and started shortly afterward. The work was top notch and looks incredible! The loadbearing stud on the right side of the window was rotten along with rot beginning on the header due to gutters and kickout panels not being present on the house since at least 2009. Douglas pulled the window, replaced the header, 2x4 for the window frame, 2x4 for the load and an additional 2x4 for weightbearing that originally was not there. Overengineering is something I love! Insulation was replaced along with plywood over top of the studs and the cedar siding on top of that. Douglas also added flashing over top of the window, under the siding, to prevent any future leaks that could arise. All of this was done with minimal damage to interior drywall that was easily repaired. I will absolutely be hiring Macaw Construction Services again for future projects that come up around the house.

The crew was professional and did exceptional work. We couldn't be more pleased with the communication, quality of work and the friendly attitude of all involved. I don't usually don't write reviews or anything like that but this company deserves it , they really are considerate and take the time to know about there customers... read more so much that when you use them you become family. I will always have them at the top of any list of the services they provide this review is the bare minimum any customer they have should do !!
